Time for some colour

To make sure that the Tumbler lasts more than a few months when finished it is important that it is really weather proofed.  This is the first of a number of coatings that will soak into the wood both protecting it from the weather but also providing much better key for the top coat paint that will be applied. I have decided that the body work will be painted in a lightly textured way giving it the effect of being made of iron sheets. Where the panels connect there will be fake rivets applied adding to the Steampunk effect. I have used this technique before so in theory it should work on this scale.
